Yama carries two meanings usually treated as unrelated. It is the name of the deity of death and dharma. It is also the first limb of Patanjali's eight-fold yoga: the yamas, the restraints, the things you do not do.
They are not unrelated. Both point at limit, the boundary that gives a thing its shape. A life without limit is not free. It is formless.

Fit

Wash Care
